Student Media Board Fee Increase Proposal Public Forums

The Student Media Board is a Chartered Student Organization that governs student media programs at the University of HawaiÊ»i at Mānoa, such as Ka Leo, HawaiÊ»i Review, KT91��Ʒ���ϳԹ�, and 91��Ʒ���ϳԹ� Productions.  Through the mandatory student activity fees - Board of Publication Fee (BOP) and the Broadcast Communication Fee (BCA), Student media programs receive $16 (BOP fee is $13 and BCA fee is $3) per student each semester to pay for the operations and service delivery of these programs. This fee has remained stagnant since the 1980s. The SMB is proposing a fee increase to continue funding these critical student programs.   

SMB will be presenting information about the fee increase proposal on the following days:

Monday, November 13 at 6:00PM - 7:00PM at Campus Center 308.

Tuesday, November 14 at 6:00PM - 7:00PM  at Campus Center 307.

Come to learn about the fee proposal, how media fees are being used and what programs and services are funded.
