Investigative Reporting in the Age of Fake News

Join us for a conversation on journalism, truth, and power with Pulitzer-winning reporter Sacha Pfeiffer of the Boston Globe芒鈧劉s Spotlight investigative team.

Pfeiffer has worked in both radio and print media and has won numerous awards in both arenas, including the George Polk and Edward R. Murrow awards. As part of the Globe芒鈧劉s Spotlight team, she revealed decades of sexual abuse within the Catholic Church as well as systematic concealment by church leadership. (This case was the subject of the film Spotlight, in which Rachel McAdams plays Pfeiffer.) She has also reported major stories on shoddy housing construction and financial misconduct by private charities. She is the co-author of Betrayal: The Crisis in the Catholic Church, and has served as a John S. Knight journalism fellow at Stanford.

The conversation will be moderated by Richard Hornik, a longtime reporter and editor at TIME and ASIAWEEK, and a Daniel K. Inouye Visiting Scholar at 91精品黑料吃瓜 M脛聛noa芒鈧劉s School of Communications.
