I鈥檓 Lot Lane (a solo effort)

December 6, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Kennedy Theatre

By MFA Directing Candidate Keola Simpson:

Following the Uprising of 1895鈥檚 final battle against the Republic of Hawaii, the last remaining royalist insurgent, Lot Lane, turned himself into government forces by simply walking in and announcing 鈥淚鈥檓 Lot Lane.鈥 According to writer/director Simpson, 鈥淚鈥檓 Lot Lane (a solo effort) is a deconstruction of the American and Hawaiian theatres, examining our dependency on propaganda, hierarchy and fear of truth on our stages. It is examined by a forgotten Lot Lane himself.鈥
