Mining the HathiTrust

This workshop will give an overview of the HathiTrust and its uses. The HathiTrust is a massive preservation repository of digitized books and periodicals created by over 100 colleges and universities. As a member of the HathiTrust, the 91¾«Æ·ºÚÁϳԹÏM community has access to the full text of all public domain works, and the ability to perform computations on the entire digital library.
The session will include:
- An overview of the HathiTrust
- Search strategies
- Downloading and working with PDFs
- Creating and finding collections
- Full text searching of copyright materials
- An overview The HathiTrust Research Center and further uses of the HathiTrust
Feel free to bring your own lunch. Beverages will be provided.
