The 1978 constitutional convention had a profound impact on Hawaiʻi. As we consider a 2018 vote on a new constitutional convention, John Waiheʻe III (delegate and governor) is leading a series of critical dialogues on the past and future impacts of Hawaiʻi’s 1978 constitutional convention, brining together delegates, scholars and community leaders. This dialogue focuses on how the 1978 constitution affects the health of our people, land and environment.

Opening remarks will be by Gov. John Waiheʻe III, with panel responses to follow by: Justice Mike Wilson, Hawaiʻi Supreme Court; Marti Townsend, Sierra Club at the King Kamehameha V Judiciary History Center (417 S. King St).

Light dinner will be served at 6:30pm.
