University of Hawai芒鈧渋 Presents celebrates Irish culture and music with traditional Irish music band The Alt. The Alt will be performing at the University of Hawai芒鈧渋 at M脛聛noa脢禄s Orvis Auditorium on March 24 at 7:30 pm.

Become inspired by The Alt芒鈧劉s melodic tunes that tell stories of love, tragedy, and regret. Their songs will take you on an emotional journey while encompassing Irish culture with a unique American approach to their music. Acoustic Guitar Magazine said, 芒鈧揟he Alt芒鈧劉s round-robin instrumental interplay is telepathic and miraculous.芒鈧 Fans of folk music will be sure to enjoy the performance, but really, The Alt is for anybody.

The Alt is comprised of three masters of Irish music, Asheville guitarist John Doyle; accordionist, whistle player, singer and composer Mick McAuley; and singer and guitar- and bouzouki-player Eamon O芒鈧劉Leary. They have come together to celebrate the songs and spirit at the core of the tradition. The ballads, tunes, and new and rediscovered songs each artist brings to The Alt reflect their love of the traditional music that has been a touchstone of Irish identity for generations.
