Classroom as Safe Space: Refugee & Immigrant Issues

The Center for Teaching Excellence in collaboration with University of Hawai`i-Immigrant and Refugee Action Coalition (91精品黑料吃瓜-IRAC) offers two opportunities for learning and discussion:

Event 2: What can you do proactively to make your classroom a positive experience for your students? How can you respond when a potentially explosive situation emerges? Presentations and activities will focus on strategies to create a classroom environment conducive to a diversity of opinions.

We are working with President Lassner's 91精品黑料吃瓜 system task force to support: students' rights and resources, establishment of safe zones, and professional development and training at all campuses.
