Join us for a special presentation on the art of mele/waiata composition, haku kole, and the use of imagery in poetry composition by Dr. Timoti Karetu, Kumu Hula Keali芒鈧渋 Reichel, and Kumu Hula Keawe Lopes.
E naue mai. This event is free and open to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Hawai芒鈧渋 system campuses and the greater community of Hawai芒鈧渋. Everyone is welcome.
This series of workshops and lecturers has been made possible in part through Special Funding from the Hawai芒鈧渋 State Legislature. Ka Unulau o Hal脛聛li芒鈧渋 series coincides with the inaugural offering of Theatre 478: Hula Ki芒鈧渋: Hawaiian Puppetry and Image Dances in the Department of Theatre and Dance, University of Hawai芒鈧渋 at M脛聛noa.
