Sarah Pillsbury is an Oscar and Prime-time Emmy winning film producer known for "Desperately Seeking Susan," "Rivers Edge," "And the Band Played On" and "How to Make an American Quilt." She is attending the HIFF 2016 King Hu Retrospective Events, and will come to the Academy for Creative Media to discuss her distinguished film career, and her decade-long collaborations with legendary filmmaker King Hu on his unfinished Hollywood debut "The Battle of Ono." A short film "King Hu in His Own Words: Reflection on an Extraordinary Career" (George Wang, 2013) will be screened. Open to faculty/students.
